Romans 15:13      I pray that God, the source of hope, fill you with all joy and peace as you believe, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.


So what is your stress level today? 

Jesus didn’t wait for a ______________time to enter the world – He entered a world that was extremely _________________

The angels are declaring something here – that word “_____________” – is what you reveal about yourself

If we don’t have “Peace ______________ God” – we can’t have the “Peace _____ God” in our lives

Romans 5:1— since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ

Philippians 4:7 --  And the peace of God, which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

ICEBREAKER——What is a Christmas tradition that your family observes?

APPLY THE BIBLE -Read  Romans 5:1  Explain what it means to be justified by faith ?

Q1— Do you think Mary might have been 'hoping' that the angels could have made 'accommodation arrangements' for them at Bethlehem???

Q2— How do you cope when God fails to do what you have 'reasonably expected Him to do'?

Q3—Read Luke 2:8. Why do you think God made such an important announcement to a lowly group of shepherds? What does this say about the priorities of God versus the priorities of men?

Q4—Even since the birth of Jesus there has not been peace on earth. How would you explain the peace that Jesus brings to an unbeliever.

Q5--Read Philippians 4:7—Name four aspects of God’s peace from this verse

Q6--Pastor Paul made the statement: “If we don’t have “Peace with God” – we can’t have the “Peace of God” in our lives “ - What does that mean to you



· Consider the issues that give you the most anxiety, or cause you most to worry. Upon what do they tend to focus? Family? Work? Friends? Your future? Decisions to make? Think about what it is that causes you to worry about these matters. Pray that God will help you in your worries to trust God and have peace in the circumstances that trouble you
